The Lost Accounts eg: Bourne Woods

There is a very limited knowledge here in the UK of our Cryptid Creatures, whether you call them Bigfoots or Wildmen many of the reports i think are out there in the Paranormal Community.  Although we have a long and varied histrory here of the Green Man and his wood knowledge it is by no means a household name, so many of out accounts of Whoops, Growls, Howls, Eyeshine, Woodknocks and Fleeting figures in the Wood becomes a ghostly spitit or a screaming lady that lost her groom and haunts the hill side, if we can for a moment step back from the paranormal aspect and pic our way through the details. a different picture starts to emerge, Bourne Woods is a very good example where a history of the afore mentions actions is long and varied, always described as The Black Shuck it has been reporting ghostly howls and eyeshine for generation after generation.  You decide for yourself how and who you would of reported this experience too if it had been your own.

Like many other historic towns and cities, Bourne has its fair share of ghost stories and UFO sightings, with many documented sightings at various locations in and around the town. One of Bourne's allegedly most haunted locations are the ancient Bourne Woods, on the western outskirts of the town. These woods date back hundreds of years and have a long history of ghost sightings. One of the most reported sightings is that of a large black dog like creature, that is said to observe people while they are in the wood.

Although the creature never actually leaves the protective tree line, it said that thisdog can be heard growling loudly at anyone who is unfortunate enough to encounter its ghostly presence.

A black dog of legened or shuck as it is sometimes known, is described as a lot bigger than a average size dog, it has a long shaggy coat, big red eyes that glow, long teeth and a slavering mouth. They disappear as mysteriously as they appear, as they are described as simply vanish into thin air.

A local paranormal investigation team recently visited the Bourne Woods to investigate this location. It was reported that two members of the team refused to enter the wood after experiencing extreme fear on the perimeter of the treeline, with one breaking down into tears for no particular reason. The remaining members who did enter the wood were reported to make a quick escape though a gap in a perimeter hedge, after hearing the ghostly growling of what was thought to be the black dog. One member of the team quoted the following regarding the loud growling noise that had been heard from within the woods, "The noise was really strange. It totally freaked everyone out, as we were in a wood the natural explanation of it being an animal springs to mind, but having experienced the sheer loudness of the growl, and how it seemed to surround us, I'm convinced it was not an animal. It shook everyone up, and as a result this part of the investigation came to a rather hasty end."

If we take from this account all the ghostly aspects and remove them, what we are left with are these signs, red eye glow, growls and howls and a creature that stays hidden in the trees, if this country had a better understanding of the Wild mans habits and noises this may have been reported a such, but alas as always this account became lost in the paranormal databases, i wonder just how many more slip through out fingers and become reported as howling ghosts or devil dogs?

Lincolnshire, UK.Bourne Woods - Oct. 2013 - I live in Spalding Lincolnshire and last week Thursday at 5:30pm I went to walk my dog at Bourne woods it was a cold night with a bit of rain just starting as I got there ( Great lol ) so not many people were around. Iwent up to a lake area where there was a bench to rest before I moved on, but I know Bourne has it’s fair share of big cat Sighting so I was always on the lookout because I love the cryptid side of the UK.

Anyway as I walked away from the bench I could hear two rocks being smashed together in the near woods behind me, so I assumed some kids were mucking about so I thought it was time to leave.

But on the way back to the car I was being followed by someone making grunts and like they were coughing and spitting so I turned around and I could not believe what I had seen. It had redish colour hair all over it and was about 4.5 foot tall, it also was crouching with a stick in its hand behind a tree so I followed it as it walked away until it just seemed to vanish like it just sunk underground. I finally left scared and a bit confused.

I feel that both of these accounts may be describing a British Bigfoot or Wildman. They have all the hallmarks we look for when visiting an area, and looking for the Wildmans home.
