Blue Bell Hill Gorrilla

Image
Blue Bell Hill, in Kent, is infamous for its' ghostly hitchhiker but this area is also a cryptozoology hotspot - an ostrich was seen by a driver during the 1990s near the haunted hill, but what is of most interest to the BBR is that a large hairy beast, thought by the witness to be a gorilla, was seen here. This coincides with the other sightings of the Blue Bell Hill Beast listed, including that by a group of five Territorial Army members, who shouted and threw stones at the Bigfoot as it ran away.

dog creature on two legs

Image
This is a strange one i know, but i added it  due to it being a tall two legged creature. Location:  Gorleston (Norfolk) - Suffield Road and High Street Date / Time:  2006 Details:  A woman reported seeing a strange dog-like creature with long legs on two different occasions around Gorleston. When she spotted the creature the second time running down the High Street, it vanished without trace. more and more dogman reports seem to becoming in, wolf type creatures that stand upright.

Gravesend Road crossing 2006

Image
This sighting has all the hallmarks of a classic road crossing encounter.....and it also is in the centre of other sightings in this area on the map... Location:  Gravesend (Kent) - Rochester Road near Chalk Church Date / Time:  19 April 2006, 15:00h, 2009 Details:  In 2006, a large black shape was seen by at least one driver as it crossed the road over a small traffic island prior to disappearing into the field opposite. A similar shape was spotted in 2009, with the witness stating that the movement was like that of a very large deer, although it vanished in front of the path of the car.

Another sherwood sighting ??

Image
This incident happened only a stones throw away from where Adam and Paul Bird had their encounter at Sherwood Forest, and where they regularly research. It is an interesting encounter with something unknown and could well be the first account of a British Bigfoot being hit by an oncoming vehicle...... Though the exact location is unknown, on a map, the A57 cuts right through some woods that was once part of the huge and vast Sherwood Forest...... Location:  Elkesley (Nottinghamshire) - A57 Date / Time:  Unknown Further Comments:  A bus driver and conductor reported hitting a dark, shape that screamed as it made contact with their bus. Coming to a halt, they both searched the road and surrounding area but failed to find whatever they thought they had run over.....

Bincome tunnel mystery

Image
Just to the west of Bincombe, the mainline railway from London to Weymouth cuts through the hills by way of a tunnel. It is the tunnel that is haunted by a shadowy looking figure who walks with a stumbling tread and bowed head. More than one train driver has thought he has run down some hapless member of the public, only to find no sign of a body nor of anything that might have looked like a person. In 1991 a driver went so far as to call the police, but even the most dedicated search by the local constabulary could find nothing.

The bear faced man

Image
Now this one is VERY strange indeed, but may fit in with what we are researching and looking for. Here it is.... Location:  Ballymacward - Lane near Woodlawn railway station Type:  Other Date / Time:  Unknown Further Comments:  Two people walking home after leaving the station heard groaning coming from over a wall. One climbed up to have a look, and observed a creature with a man's body but with the head of a bear. The witness tried to speak to the strange creature, but it told him 'don't speak to me' before wandering off.

Monkey faced shuck of Balsham

Image
This old Shuck legend has to be inspired by British Bigfoot sightings....... Location:  Balsham (Cambridgeshire) - Wratting Road Type:  Shuck Date / Time:  Unknown Details:  The Shuck that has been observed in this area is believed to have a bald head and wide eyes, similar to that of a monkey, while the body is that of a large black shaggy dog. It leaps out in front of cars travelling along this road, only to dart out of the way at the last possible second, either on all four legs or standing upright. This old Shuck legend has to be inspired by British Bigfoot sightings.......

Isir the giant historical tale

Image
In Eamont Bridge in Cumbria, by the river, is a cave known as Giant's Cave, a place associated with two giants called Tarquin and Isir. The pair lived on a diet of human flesh, a practice which might have lost its appeal when Sir Lancelot slew Tarquin in battle. A similar tale comes from another Cumbria cave system, the Isis Parlis system. This cave system was once the home to a giant named Hugh Cesario, who either fought on the side of good, or took local men, women and farm animals back to the cave to snack on. Maybe these are both folklore legends derived from real Woodwose encounters.....
