Famed Sasquatch hunter James “Bobo” Fay and star of television's "Finding Bigfoot" made a stop in Starved Rock Country Saturday as the keynote speaker during a paranormal symposium at Starved Rock Lodge. Fay, who lives in Eureka, Calif., spoke of his many "hunts" that were the focus of his cable channel production that took him and his fellow researchers around the world. "I believe there are many more photos and videos (or unknown creatures) which have yet to be released for various reasons, including personal privacy," said Fay.

This is what happened to me one summer's afternoon when I was playing out as a child in Bawtry Doncaster, I saw something so strange that the experience remains with me to this day. The face in the foliage that I (and a school friend) saw happened around the time I was 15 in I would say approximately 1972. My Friend and I were playing truant from school, and we knew we wouldn't be caught if we went to a certain area not really ideal but it was out of the way and no adults would see us, we were there messing about in an old abandoned sewage works, known locally as “dead-dogs island” we noticed a face watching us from within the brambles, “he/she” was lying flat on their belly, keeping hidden well in the bushes and grass so I couldn't see a body and I have no idea of the size or height but what we could see was the face, whatever this “thing” was it was hairy and looked like the Green Man pictures and artworks that you see in the UK.

In 2016 I received an email from a gentleman whose brother was in Prison, he was housed in Dartmoor Jail, and his cell looked out onto the B3357 road that was close to the prison itself and had a small wooded area adjacent to it. Dartmoor still has a misplaced reputation for being a high-security prison that is escape-proof. Now it is merely a Category C prison, Dartmoor houses mainly non-violent offenders and white-collar criminals. The gent went on to explain that his brother was in prison and was almost finished with his sentence, he had received a number of ‘home leaves’ and on the one this previous weekend (Jan 2016) had seemed even more reluctant to return than he had on the other day releases. The Beast of Blue Bell Hill 1500's The so-called 'beast' of Blue Bell Hill has existed in one form or another since the 1500s when a mysterious creature was spotted near Boxley and reported by the villagers and stockmen. This next account came in through my page on Facebook, after an article I had released earlier on the Forest of Dean creature.  A young lady got in touch with me and these are her own words about her experience that day. I run a paranormal team in Bolton Lancashire and we investigate haunting's across the North West of England.  I saw your post on the Forest of Dean and as I had posted not long ago about an experience that happened to me in the Trough of Bowland Forest, I thought you might find it of interest. Here's an article that was published in the Hammond Times (Munster, Indiana) on October 25, 1935. It describes a supposed 'lost race' of wild men in British Columbia's wilderness: Settlers Fifty Miles From Vancouver Describe Hairy Giants Hammond Times, October 25, 1935 Sasquatch men, remnants of a lost race of "wild men" who inhabited the rocky regions of British Columbia centuries ago, are reported roaming the province again. After an absence of several months from the district of Harrison Mills, 50 miles east of Vancouver, the long, weird, wolf-like howls of the "wild men" are being heard again and two of the hairy monsters were reported seen in the Morris Valley on the Harrison river. Residents in the district tell of seeing the two giants leaping and bounding out of the forest and striding across the duck-feeding ground, wallowing now and again in the bog and mire and long, waving swamp grasses. Camping and out door leisure is making a very real come back here in the UK. The Camping and Caravan club's numbers have doubled over the last few years. As more people realise the beauty on their doorsteps they want to get out and visit our National Parks and Ares of Natural Beauty.  Sadly with the increase in numbers the prices of the camp sites are also souring. Leaving the only other option open to some is to wild camp or to sleep in their vehicles overnight and move onto a new area tomorrow or the next day.  Many of our rural car parks can be havens of safety when caught out in a an area you are unsure of.  There are many farmers and land owners now bridging the gap by allowing people to pitch on their fields and land for a small fee in exchange for some home comforts to make your stay easier, but this doesn't suit everyone, myself included on some occasions. May 19, 2000 -- VANCOUVER, Canada - Excited researchers are combing the wilds of British Columbia in response to recent sightings of Bigfoot accompanied by a blond-haired boy! More than two-dozen people claim to have seen the human youngster dressed in animal skins and loping along beside the towering man beast. Investigators speculate that the mystery boy may be the missing survivor of a plane crash that occurred in the area 11 years ago, and he possibly raised from childhood by a Bigfoot or a family of Bigfoot type creatures. "This is the most tantalizing development in Bigfoot research to take place in decades," said Dr. Rob Worrier, a zoologist involved in the hunt for the elusive forest creature.  He went on to say "It suggests that Bigfoot is not some shambling monster as he is often depicted, but a gentle and intelligent being capable of nurturing behavior and compassion."
