After a flurry of Bigfoot sightings this past spring, we haven’t heard nor seen much of the creature also known by many as Sasquatch or Yeti. Actually, according to Google Maps , Bigfoot goes by 58 different names around the world, but one thing we all share is the fact that, much like UFOs , there has been no shortage of people who claim to have been witnesses to the unusual phenomenon. This latest sighting of Bigfoot occurred last week on the other side of the globe in Singapore. In Singapore, their name for Bigfoot is Bukit Timah Monkey Man or BTMM. He is called that there because those in the area believe Bigfoot roams the forests of the Bukit Timah region. The Haslingden Hairy man. He Was Peeping Around The Door !  -  Back in the 1970's Haslingden in Lancashire was a sleepy mill town and not much has changed in the intervening years. Haslingden means 'Valley of the Hazels' and it is a beautiful place to visit. Set in the Rossendale Valley and surrounded by moorlands and rolling hills it is similar to many Lancashire towns here in the North West. The town is not known for Paranormal events other than the odd Public House spectre. Yet over the years two very strange reports were made by two ladies who lived in the town. The first event happened in the 1970's in an ordinary home on the outskirts of the town. There are areas in the UK that have a number of reports of strange phenomena all within a couple of miles of each other. Surrey is one of those areas, around Box Hill and Dorking Deep Dene there are a number of strange reports. Now two other people have come forward to report events that happened to them in this area also. There are eight reports in this very small area and a strange disappearance of a young girl. The black Simonside Ridge dominates the skyline above Rothbury. This is stunningly beautiful and serious walking country, but any rambler should be very aware that they will most likely survive the snakes and the sucking mud of the peat-bogs only to encounter the mischievous and deadly Simonside dwarfs, called Deugars, who live in secret caves. These guys take great pleasure from luring unsuspecting walkers to their doom. It was on a chill autumn day in 1661, that James Hall, a Coquetdale shepherd, stumbled across a pile of charred and broken bones at a place called Selby’s Cove, below Simonside. At first he was not sure these were human remains as they were scattered and picked almost clean. But as he examined the debris more closely he found the upper portion of a skull.
