A Family Hear A Cougar's Growl At Ladybower Reservoir 20/4/25

Derwent Water is a place loved by locals and visitors a like. Thousands of family's use the area every year and for all it is rugged, its not a place in the UK known for its Wild Animals. Emma Adams was walking back from the Pike when she had a startling experience. She reached out to me in April of this year. 

I have known Emma for several years as she is the witness who saw a Creature with several sets of eyes walk across Limby Hall Lane in Swannington. That time she was with her sister and they were out late at night taking the dog for a run. 

Emma contacted me recently after a day out at Upper Derwent water. Emma and her husband were enjoying a family walk heading up to the pike when they heard a loud growl that came from the trees to their right as they were making their way back to the car.


 Emma added "We looked around but saw nothing. We got out of there for sure.it sounded like a "Panther or a big Cat of some kind, we were scared. My husband grabbed the biggest rock he could find plus I’ve got two walking sticks " The couple checked YouTube when they arrived home and they managed to match the sound to that of a Cougar. Emma has seen a large Black Cat out on the fields at the back of her home and her husband was sceptical. Now he has changed his mind after hearing the growl.


There have been other reports of large cats seen in the area and Emma has researched into large cats in the UK, so she knew straight away it was not an animal natural to the UK.

Dogmen Reports from across the UK

I have been asked this week about the British Dogman accounts, and i have to admit like most people i know very little about them.  I have heard many theories and ideas on who and what they are, i myself am unsure and don't feel qualified to answer the question, but what i can do i think is to share the reports i have, and anyone wanting to research them can then do so as they wish.  It is a tricky subject here in the UK due to the odd lie and exaggeration by some untrustworthy people, but when the truth is told, this amounts to nothing more than hearsay and half truths. And leaves us with valid witness accounts just like the Wildman accounts that come in. The people with the accounts are the ones we should listen too, and like all subjects it is easy to fear the unknown and to demonise the things we don’t understand.
