A Red Eyed Werewolf in Wepre Park 1993

Nestled at the estuary that sits between England and Wales is an area known as Wepre park. Wepre Park is a 160 acre country park near Connah's Quay in Flintshire. The park is home to Ewloe Castle, which was built in the 110's and it sits on a steeply sloped promontory within a forested valley. It overlooks the junction of two streams with higher ground to the south. Set at the mouth of the estuary this is a very strategic spot and was used as a fortification for centuries. Now it is a wonderful sssi nature reserve which is used by visitors and locals alike, although camping overnight is not permitted. There is an area in the park known as the Devils basin waterfalls which conjures up all manner of spooky thoughts, I am unsure how the fall received this name, no doubt the answer is lost in time. For all this park is set close to homes, walking here is like walking back in time. If you go off track and into the woodlands you can forget where you are and just enjoy the solitude...
