A Dark Shadowy Fog Like Being and A Howl

BBR Listener: “So my home backs onto open land close to Bebington on the Wirral. I have experienced many paranormal things since childhood. I've witnessed Black Triangles back in the early 80s in Warminster, I have had several other UAP sightings, I have seen and still see tall entities and shadow people and lots of other odd occurrences both when I am alone and with others. This particular one has really stayed with me though. 

Two years ago an independent witness and I saw a tall solid shape of a misty appearance moving backwards and forwards across our lawn. I estimated it was around 8 foot in height due to the topography of the land. It was as if it was pacing. I have my own impression of what it was but I will leave that for another tale. 


The dog would go crazy when this happened and I wouldn't let him out. It happened over the space of a week or so. One night in Winter we were coming home about 8pm and it was dark by the time we arrived. We are an outdoor family, we have horses and have spent our holidays in very rural places and we know what wildlife sounds like including screaming vixens.

But that night as we got out of the car, we both suddenly felt spooked and my friend said “I feel like someone is watching us”. At that point the most terrifying howl went up.

I have only ever heard that noise on tv programmes featuring wolves. It was not a dog, I can't explain why I was so sure but there was a strange sort of echo to it. That was alarming enough but it was then followed immediately by the sound of something on two feet running toward us, then it distinctly changed became the sound of four feet.

At this point we both ran and got into the porch which we locked. I have to say we never saw anything. We also never witnessed the strange fog after that night.

Dogmen Reports from across the UK

I have been asked this week about the British Dogman accounts, and i have to admit like most people i know very little about them.  I have heard many theories and ideas on who and what they are, i myself am unsure and don't feel qualified to answer the question, but what i can do i think is to share the reports i have, and anyone wanting to research them can then do so as they wish.  It is a tricky subject here in the UK due to the odd lie and exaggeration by some untrustworthy people, but when the truth is told, this amounts to nothing more than hearsay and half truths. And leaves us with valid witness accounts just like the Wildman accounts that come in. The people with the accounts are the ones we should listen too, and like all subjects it is easy to fear the unknown and to demonise the things we don’t understand.
