Not Quite A Growl, UFO's and Helicopters

In October of 2022 I was contacted by one of my YouTube listeners as he had a question for me. He asked me if "anyone ever heard, or knows of any animals that make really horrible guttural growling type sounds. He went to explain he had an awful experience with his mate one night.

Witness Report: "Me and a friend were just up a local hill here around 2am, we were sat in a car for a catch up tonight. We got out for a cigarette when we first arrived and we heard some noises that sounded a bit like a cow. I just dismissed it, and we carried on talking, anyway we got back in the car got out for another cigarette, and heard this noise a few more times. It sounded at one point like muffled voices but we still dismissed it as it sounded fairly distant. 

Anyway we got back in the car and got out again a little while later, and we heard these noises again. I was just dismissing it as a cow, until a few seconds later when we heard the same noise but it suddenly sounded very close to us, much closer than before. And it wasn’t like any noise I’ve heard before. It sounded like a deep guttural noise, and it scared the life out of us. Well I was, my friend was more curious as he’s intent on seeing some sort of cryptid. But I ran back to the car and my friend followed and we sped off. 

Does anyone know if cows can make a weird guttural almost growling noise. Not quite a growl, I can’t quite describe it, but I’ve lived in the countryside around all sorts of livestock all my life and never heard a noise like this. I’m convinced it wasn’t a cow. One minute it sounded at least 1/4 of a mile away and 30 seconds later it sounds 20 yards away. I’m the kind of person that wants to rule out all options before I make it into something it’s not, so if anyone knows any creatures in this country that could make a really deep and loud guttural type sound let me know. I really wish I could describe it. Not quite a growl, more like a weird cow distress sound but not, but extremely low and guttural and a quite menacing. I haven’t ever heard this noise before in my life.


Oh also just to add about 3 weeks ago, we were sat up this same hill similar sort of time 1-2am, and we saw a UFO on the horizon in front of us. It was definitely a UFO, not a star, a bright white light that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and it was moving slowly to the right, and then dropped behind the hills on the horizon. A few minutes later some helicopters showed up and appeared to be investigating this area where the UFO was. I’m not sure if this is linked, but recently me and my friend have had a few strange experiences. Anyway if anyone knows about any animals that can make the noise I’ve tried to describe above, maybe a cow??? maybe I’m just a bit spooked by it and overreacted but honestly I’ve never heard that noise before in my life. Maybe a cow can make that noise but I’ve never heard one make a low guttural type noise before."

Dogmen Reports from across the UK

I have been asked this week about the British Dogman accounts, and i have to admit like most people i know very little about them.  I have heard many theories and ideas on who and what they are, i myself am unsure and don't feel qualified to answer the question, but what i can do i think is to share the reports i have, and anyone wanting to research them can then do so as they wish.  It is a tricky subject here in the UK due to the odd lie and exaggeration by some untrustworthy people, but when the truth is told, this amounts to nothing more than hearsay and half truths. And leaves us with valid witness accounts just like the Wildman accounts that come in. The people with the accounts are the ones we should listen too, and like all subjects it is easy to fear the unknown and to demonise the things we don’t understand.
