One Boys Experiences With Multiple UFO’s

A Huge UFO - Mark Sylvester: I don't mind sharing what happened Deb. Though now, I can clearly see the changes in myself when I look back over the years. I started out in complete denial, even abandoning my friend who was also there with me, just so they wouldn't think I was mad. I think it took place in 1982 when the Americans had invaded Grenada. My Mum and Sister had gone to see family there leaving my Dad and me at home. I do regret that now but as an 11 year old peer pressure was everything.

From about the age of 9, I would wander off onto the neighbouring rugby ground, which had a few trees at the farthest end that surrounded the local Bus Corporation Depot near Alfreston. I was a latch key kid as my younger sibling and I attended the same school on days when both parents were on the afternoon shift. I would have to let us in and heat the food for us. My elder brother was off doing whatever and was not missed. To be honest, it was a relief as much as my Dad not being there.

My sister would stay at the house with friends who would come around, and I would always end up wandering off on my own. I would be gone for hours on end and in the holidays all day if I could. So I was used to my own company and I began making friends with a couple of local boys who were looked down on because their parents were on benefits.

So how much I/We would have been seen as believable is doubtful.

These events must have taken place over the whole day. It started in the morning when I was wandering around the rugby club looking for damson trees, plums and apple trees that grew at the backs of the houses around the 5 acre grounds. It would have been around 10 am and cloudless but brisk morning with only one single fluffy cloud unmoving in a perfectly blue clear sky.

That's weird was roughly as much as I thought about that as I went on foraging (as they call it now). As I think of it, soon after this, my time in a morning would have been taken up with taking the Goat out and pegging it out in a good spot for the day. The rugby club let us do this as it saved them spending the summer with scythes cutting it every 4 weeks. But at this time, I wasn't doing this, so I think 1982 is about right and by then I was about 12.

I think I had bought some cheap kids binoculars the day before and had as kids do taken to looking at everything through them. On this morning, I was looking at the aeroplanes flying over at high altitude and noticing the reflection of the sun off the bright aluminium bodies, not something you'd see today with different materials used. I was also very into tomorrow's world, which I recalled had featured the new microlight aircraft, which I think featured a clear plastic membrane covering the wings.

Quite a bit later  that morning, other kids arrived on the rugby field as in the holidays it was like our own private park. We had thrown jumpers down for goals posts, and the inevitable footy game had begun. As usual, the sound of a ball being kicked and screaming kids attracted more kids, and soon we had 5 a side. I still had my binoculars and not being that into footy anyway I would simply boot it as far as I could In order to take a look at something, which they had obviously cottoned onto as I was getting left out of the play more and more.

During this time looking at the horizon to the west of us was a small low flying plane as I thought, it was rising from the roof line of the far off houses and apparently heading directly to the only cloud in the sky. As I looked in the binoculars, it appeared to be a delta shaped translucent wing [I assumed I was witnessing a new microlight in action and was quite chuffed. I was watching on and off while playing to track its progress. On reflection, it was pretty swift, silent, and direct. I mean, there was no deviation, as I could see.

I saw that as it reached the cloud it appeared to turn on its head lights, I just assumed it must be like drivers do when out in fog in a car. But it was a clear sky, it would have been far easier to just avoid it as it was clearly visible. It entered the cloud, and the light faded. I waited for it to emerge while playing, checking around to see if I had missed it. I didn't see it for over 20 mins. The game fizzled out, and the kids went off for lunch. I went foraging again.

Sometime later, I'm not sure when exactly the kids were back on the field and the ball, and we resumed where we left off. I then saw a similar craft come from the east of our position and follow a similar trajectory toward the single cloud, and again, it appeared clear through binoculars like a translucent delta shape, so another microlight I thought.

I stopped playing and just watched it turn on its light, enter the cloud, and the light fade out. It didn't emerge, and the cloud never moved. In fact, it was a very still day and quite warm in the sun. I think I mentioned what I'd seen to the other kids. No one seemed interested. So we went about foraging, having decided we would make jam or a pie with some of the fruit we collected. Later that day, there were just two of us left, and it was towards sunset, and just as now, I watched as the orange light began to reflect on that single cloud and had that same longing.

This was when while talking to my friend, who was some 3 years younger and was able to spin around the rails around the pitch. As I watched him I noticed lights inside the cloud that looked to be moving around within it, and looked more stunning with the orange again a strong feeling of familiarity with this site came over me and I just watched and carried on speaking.

Now here is the tricky bit the lights seem to join together inside the cloud and got much brighter and then the cloud begins to dissolve. The single bright light moved slowly and silently lower in the sky. It is now very much twilight and I'm not sure how come that happened so quickly. Then I am suddenly struck with the notion that a large aeroplane is about to fly super low over us and I and my friend feel compelled to wait to see this.

Suddenly I am aware it is now dark not twilight, the light has now dropped down to about twice the hight of the rugby stand about 6m in height. The single white light goes off just as I was thinking I should be seeing red and green lights they appear 2, 4, 6,8,10 it dawns on me there are too many and there's no sound.

The next thing we see is the underside of a grey green craft saucer like craft but with the same texture and segmentation as a clam. In fact I was able to see the lights were not attached to it they were simply staying in position around it as they were translucent. There was an energy in the air as it cleared the end of the corporation land and workshops, we could see it was wider than the rugby stand opposite. We were kind of in shock for a while.

The next bits of memory are disjointed to me, they feel off. I can see clearly the face of my friend and the shock on it. He then seems to register the same look on me and we start to run. Then we immediately and without thought stopped running but it feels like I've hit the ground too hard for some reason! The craft  is now to the north of us just passing silently over the houses that border the rugby pitch. Then the craft suddenly and silently shoots of toward Sheffield, which is north of us. We run to the street light at the gate of the rugby club and try to work out what just happened. I remembering walking down and around the road way to go home.

The day after my friend showed me a picture he drew of what we saw, his drawing was of a saucer or two sitting on top each other. with red and green lights around the edges. He drew it from the side which at the time I thought made it wrong; but having seen my own kids grow I realise it quite common as we are all looking from a different perspective. I thinks it's because I never went through the stick man or face with stick arms and legs popping out phase in drawing. I just drew with perspective and outlined what I saw, the sky met the ground and clouds were just left the colour the page. [why wouldn't you].

For some reason, for days after seeing the UFO I was drawn to go to my sisters room which I never did before. Id just look, standing on the bed in the direction the object had been; it would not have been possible to see the it because the house was a full 3 floors below the level of the rugby ground. [Which itself is opposite a very old church].

As I looked out there, I sort of new something was there and was unsurprised to see two craft silently passing one behind the other, one higher than the other slightly. They appeared whitish cream and resembled two tick tacks stuck offset about half-way along each other and joined at that point so they had an upper and lower section they moved about walking pace, with a red light again not fastened but in position to the rear of the upper section and phasing on and off over a 2 second repeating cycle [from on to off, off back to on] as if to attract my attention.

Their position though next to the main Sheffield road as it was then was probably close to an eighth of a mile back and as the road was on a hill about the same up in the air. But with the orange high pressure sodium lights we had then and the glare you wouldn't have seen through the glare and they seemed to pass over the large house at the top lingering at the rear moving extremely slowly.

I observed them and thought what do you want, they both seemed to respond by stopping and a feeling of calm came over me. I must have seen them for about a minute when they put on a green light at the front lower section and began moving off across the road just above the poplar trees which were about 30ft or so on the rugby side but by the church. It was 50ft up easily as they passed over between the church and the council houses, accelerating rapidly and noiselessly. In the distance I could hear jet engines and within a minute two extremely low jets passed along the same trajectory.

I climbed down and retained the calm feeling. There was only me in and it was around 16:30 - 17:30, I had gone upstairs to change out of my uniform when I was drawn to go look.

Another definite thing I recall after this was one day soon after I think either a school holiday or a weekend. I had gotten a bike from Woolworths that year so it might have  been some time after October my birthday, and as I recall the bike still looked like it originally had [because eventually I changed everything  on that bike]. It was a foggy day and the visible dome that surrounded everything was about 10m thick. It wasn't bright but not that dark either so maybe 15:00. I had been walking in the fog before fetching the bike. I was drawn to look up, when I did, I observed what I could only describe as a multi-coloured shimmer in the fog, a kind green, blue, yellowish orange, and deep reddish purple. It reminded me of the effect you get when looking at oil on water at just the right angle to get the prism effect. As I became aware of it a streak shot down it and it briefly looked like the fire pattern used on the hot-wheels toy cars of the time.

It was there less than a second before dispersing.

Before this when we lived at the other house I would wake up with night terrors and all I could recall was a green glowing liquid and dark round room, lit but very dimly and from no point I could see, it just seemed like the air lit it and it had a warm to touch material not like plastic or metal, that looked like ceramic but with an almost non stick appearance and no texture to the touch.

There were also things being moved into my way by Beings that I could not see.

I would have been 2,3 or 4 at this time. But each night as my cot was in front of the window I can recall a person's silhouette would appear brightly back lit and getting bigger until he appeared stood in the window at which point I would pass out.

When I went back to look at this house, I saw it was a railway house of the early 1800s originally, and the windows are all incredibly small, no more than 4ft. I had imagined that I had been seeing the shadow of a night worker on the rail lines that ran above the house at the rear. But I looked on Google maps at the line and the angles needed to cast a shadow, I saw some discrepancies, the most obvious was the white light is always shown on the front of a train to indicate direction just like cars, and the closer the light gets the bigger the shadow would get till I filled the light and blocked it. The shadow would also have moved sideways as it got closer. It did none of this."
