The Loch Skene Gorilla 2002

Image
An anonymous photographer snapped this picture which he claims is a Gorilla stalking the shores of Loch Skene in Aberdeenshire. The snapper is quoted in the Aberdeenshire Press & Journal as saying: "I do not want to be named in case my sanity is questioned". He continued: "I was indulging in my favourite pastime of photography. I was returning to my car when I noticed some movement in a clearing of forest. Thinking it was a deer, I got my camera ready. As I looked closer I realised I was staring at what can only described as a large ape." The witnesses first instinct was to run: "I believe if I had stayed for longer I could have taken some clearer photos but at the time I was more concerned for my own well being than getting the perfect shot. He described the animal as no bigger than the average person but very wide across the shoulders. The only thing I am sure of is that it was some type of ape. From my limited knowledge, I believe the ape I witnessed co...

The Tall Grey Man of Corrour Bothy 2005

Image
Corrour Bothy Nevis Mountain Range. 2005 Reported by Peter: "I was standing alone outside Corrour Bothy at night, middle of winter, leaning up against the wall near the window having a smoke, and looking out into the snowy darkness.Out of the corner of my eye, over to the left towards the stream, I caught a glimpse of a tall grey figure. At first I thought it was one of our party, although all of them were inside the bothy. Turned to look properly and couldn't see anyone.Probably just suggestion, a suggestible mind playing tricks in the half-light, but it had me give a little shiver, quickly finish my smoke and head back in for warmth and company. Now the Nevis mountain range is home to Ben Nevis which is the highest mountain in the British Isles, located on the island of Great Britain. Standing at 1,346 metres above sea level, it is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains a vast place of varied habitats. Close to this account and on the same mountain...

Wood Knocks of Chesterfield 2016

Image
I was contacted today from a lady in the chesterfield area of the Uk, who wished to report strange wood knocks from the wood line adjacent to her property, This is her account in her own words. "On Thursday of last week I went outside to clean a hoover part this was at about 2 am in morning, i;m not a good sleeper and am usually up most of the night, I was tapping the hoover part to clean it, when I stopped I heard 3 very quick taps they came from in the wood line, i was puzzled but not scared so I tapped again and got a reply. The weird thing was about 5 mins before this had happened all 3 of my cats came flying past me straight into the house, not one of them went back out that night and stayed within the house. I know I'm in UK but i have never heard this before, and I've lived here several years now. The wood line is about 150-200 feet from my home and also a railway runs through it. I looked on the uk bigfoots sighting map and it seems that I live in on...

Dark Figures Duncliffe Wood Dorset 2008

Image
anon sighting of dark figures skirting the wood, early hours of the morning, sighted by hunter who  claims they were tall and broad shouldered and glided along very fluid ?? he wished to remain anon as he really shouldn't have been there, follow up conversation with him, did bring out some details, he was waiting for rabbits on the hill over looking the wood, he could see them clear enough but they seemed to be all one colour, he did not notice clothes or bags, just the same dark brown from head to toe, what made him report was even from that distance he knew they were very tall and very  broad and they walked in and out of the trees with no difficulty. One of the British Bigfoot team members Warren Port did an area check of Duncliffe and found this strange tree structure 2 years apart, first picture is 2014 second is 2016 Report by Deborah Crossley Hatswell 16/6/2016

The Howler of Horsleygate Woods 1989

Image
It was around 1989 that this happened to me i was 17 at the time. I went into the wood for a look as it's all pine trees and as I was about 100 yards in it went all quiet there was nobody around the wood was like so quiet I stood there looking and then I heard some whooping like noise and knocking sounds , then everything went silent, just like that, complete quiet, no birds nor car noise, no animal sounds just complete silence, I didnt see who or what made the noises, but I could tell I was being watched the wood is thick and the trees are large i couldn't make out anybody or anything around me, I headed down towards the small stream and got down to look, and I saw nothing , i lay there for ages I did some knocks back and the whoops started again, louder this time my cheeks where puckered now, i was so spooked. I looked back into the thick woodland and my eyes saw loads of shapes in the sun light but nothing i could pin point. Then Bump Bump, Crack in the distance I could...

The Cannock Chase Gorilla 2008

Image
Location:  Cannock (Staffordshire) - Cannock Chase Park Type:  Cryptozoology Date / Time:  Circa July 2008 Further Comments:  A group of friends walking through the area in the early hours of the morning  spotted a tall dark figure which quickly ducked down - one of the group approached it, only to hear it  run off. Walking back towards their car, two of the group heard a roar which they believed sounded like  a silver backed gorilla. One person also reported red eyes glaring at them from the bushes. Cannock Chase has long been a favourite with cryptozoologists and researchers alike, known for its  many and varied creature sightings, strange growls to full on bigfoot and wolfman encounters, it does  seem as if there is a hotspot of sightings grouped in this area. Habituation or a strange set of circumstance ?

Image
For a number of years now we have a researcher with ongoing activity at a site in the very north west of Scotland, The researcher makes no claims as to what or who makes and leaves these strange patterns and glyphs but they change on a daily basis and are very different in appearance each time. On some days it will be little feathers left out in a circle, to large club like sticks wedged into trees. The researcher first started to notice strange activity when out walking or walking the dog, the more off the path they went, the stranger the finds. We do have pictures of large X and teepee structures and i will be doing a follow up album to cover the wood structures, but for now i would like to just introduce you to the area and give a little history on the finds.  Now as we know, dawn and dusk are the ideal times to be out researching for many reason, its quieter, there is less chance of bumping into other people out and about, and much more animal...

The Dogman of Mount Snowden

Image
The reports from witnesses come in from many places, reports sent in, searching forums, word of mouth, but i find that mostly when i tell people what i do in my spare time, rather than laugh, they usually open up about something that happened to them, that they have never told anybody else, this sighting came to one of our team members when chatting with a tv researcher. Report from Tam Dudgeon 1/6/16:  I've been selected to appear on a well known television game show here in the uk and one of the researchers was doing some background bio on me and I mentioned my interest in Bigfoot and Cryptoids. You could hear in her voice that she thought it was a bit of a joke when she asked me what we were looking for. I was telling her all about the different sightings and creatures and I mentioned the Dogman. Then the line went silent...I thought we had been cut off, or i had scared her off completely but she was still there and when she spoke you could hear that she was shook up. She sa...

Kirknewton West Lothian "the strange thing" 86/87

Image
Date of incident: approx 1986/87, late evening, Kirknewton, West Lothian. A historical encounter was reported in February 2015 from a work colleague, who tells of when he was a teenager growing up in the town of Kirknewton in West Lothian. He estimates the year to be around 1986/87. He states that he and his friends were daring each other to walk into local woods one night and they eventually decided to go together, as they were approaching the woods they saw in the moonligh t what is described as a large dark figure running across a field adjacent to the woods. It was reportedly running alternately upright and on all fours. It then vaulted a fence "It just glided over this fence.....it looked like it had a really long neck. We thought it was trying to cut us off so we ran for it." He reports that "strange stuff" used to happen in the local woods, one example he was able to give was when they were out with a friend and his dog and approached an old walled buri...

The Basildon Beast 1995

Image
Witness Report: "I thought I would tell you about my black shuck sighting as it was pretty recent (about 10 years ago), and there were lots of witnesses. The area mentioned is St Nicholas Church in Basildon Essex. When I was 14 /15 I spent a lot of time outdoors messing around with a large group of friends. We would meet up after school, hang around street corners causing mayhem, the usual teenage antics. Because we were such a large group, sometimes as many as 30 people, we were often moved on from our little spots by the police, and had to find new 'homes', kind of like a wandering band of nomads! I'm pretty sure it was October 1995 when this happened, and we had recently begun hanging around at an old church on a big hill near my house. We all knew the surrounding countryside like the back of our hands as we had grown up roving around in the trees, and never thought anything of the fact that we were hanging around in a graveyard at night. Anyway, this particular eve...

Whoops from the Mountain

Image
I stumbled upon an old welsh tale of Shewri-while,  a female phantom, would cause people to lose their way upon the mountain. She would call out 'whoop-whoop' and beckon to be followed. If any witness did pursue her, she would lead them on a merry chase lasting several hours, never to be found no matter how hard they searched or followed. I do find it strange that a "ghost" would omit a Whoop Whoop noise and yet many wildman sightings are known for the whooping, a noise reported all across england, could this figure nobody sees be a wildman moving people from the area for obvious reasons, there are many tales as old as England of people hearing whoops and cries and following them into the woods to find nothing ?  Even being reported by a BBC news crew who heard the whoops and screams from Ben Nevis in feb of 2015. An interesting mystery all the same.
