The Hope Valley "Werewolf" Edale 1925

Hope Valley, Derbyshire S33, UK. EDALE, DERBYSHIRE (1925) - A large dark creature of unknown origin caused havoc here in the 1920s when it killed dozens of sheep. Though rarely seen, the creature was said to have a howl like a fog horn. The locals believed it was a Werewolf.

Now for all this creature was described as a werewolf, it was not because of attack or sighted as resembling a wolf man back then in the 1920' no one here had knowledge of the wild wood walkers that the UK has, for all the Americans call them Bigfoots and Dogman they are simple earth creatures as are we,  to not understand something causes fear and damage to us all, so if you could just step back a little from the word "werewolf" and look at what was really seen we may have a different understanding of "them".

The simple description  of  (A large dark creature of unknown origin caused havoc here in the 1920s when it killed dozens of sheep) now this could be anything from a simple family pet all the way up to the British Bigfoot accounts.  The taking of sheep could of been a local poacher after all, the 20;s were very lean years here in the UK.  Its the howl that interests me, we don't really have a creature that howls here except dogs and we all know a dogs howls.  But for all it caused panic i would imagine at the time, no one was harmed, no homes were entered and from that day to this peace has remained in a small Derbyshire village.

Sometimes how you look at something can make all the difference.  The Hope Valley is an abundant and beautiful place to call home for us and all earths people.
