Me and a friend were driving up cortworth lane (just passed the woodhouse entrance where the wall is always collapsed due to car crashes) when i suddenly saw a black figure jump through the gap in the wall and run into the grounds. NORTHERN IRELAND — Two people claim they saw an ape-like creature in a small wooded area of Northern Ireland. Caroline Breen, a 63-year-old woman working as a pet sitter in Glenwherry, told Cryptozoology News she and her husband were walking some of the local dogs in Ballyboley Forest when the alleged beast showed up. “We approached a small patch of dead trees one day when we caught sight of something crouched behind the bushes,” she explains. “We thought at first it was a human, but as it raised its head in the air, we saw it. One night my friend and I headed out to walk my dog, it was a summer evening but fairly late so it was getting dark out. We turned down the street which now ran through Walker's Farm and had no intention of crossing over onto the remains of the farm. Instead we followed the road all the way through which took us to a very badly lit bike path. The path ran through a wood of pine trees, they were densely planted and you could see no further than a couple of feet in front of you. My dog, Nyla, was hesitant in walking down this path, pulling backwards and whimpering. She stalled what was no less than a dozen times until she gave in and literally pulled us through as fast as she could. We could see the exit of the track, thankfully, and as we approached it we heard a very loud cracking noise above our heads. My friend, Nyla and myself were all startled. Looking up we saw the tree top shaking. This was not caused by a bird or any small critter, there was no wind and the neighbouring tree...

The actual spot where a six-foot tall creature covered in reddish hair and a human face was seen by five people in their car, This area was photographed and explored by Adam and Paul Bird, our founder team members as they are close to the area and could visit quickly. We found many of the signs we look for when out researching large arches pinned in an un-natural way, ground and tree X’s and large tree snaps way above our heads,   Whilst photographing a possible tree break we spotted at Cotgrave Forest we got a little lost and then heard a long mournful howl about a mile walk from the sighting spot. It was the best howl we had ever heard whilst out in the woods . To say we were disappointed not to record it is putting it mildly. The Cotgrave is certainly an area to re-visit, we were informed by another cryptozooligist of “ Ancient track which bisects the area”. We will keep you informed of any further research visits.

Witness Account: I had been asked several times over the course of a fortnight, to visit the Owthorpe Crossroad's area and specifically the last field on the right at the end of the lane there at 12 midnight. Finally, i decided to go there, being the inquisitive character i am. I 'phoned Pete, a Nottingham fellow investigator, to see if he would join me on the little expedition. Unfortunately there was no reply to my call, but i was now determined to go come hell or high water. The weather conditions were a light wind, intermittent bright Moonlight, with numerous small clouds floating slowly towards the East. I arrived there at 11:p.m. A small herd of approximately a dozen horses plus, were gathered at the then metal gated entrance to their large field, curious heads overhanging the top of the gate. The witness who was around 15/16 at the time of his sightings was hunting in fields in the Penn Area of wolverhampton with his friend. He was in his usual position and had his rabbit gun and a torch to light up the field, but as he was scanning the light across the area, the torch picked up a crouching human type figure, much bigger than an average human and in his own words "it was huge in height and width" his friend promptly ran off leaving the witness alone, so he followed suit and legged it also. he is older now but still certain of what he saw and said "it was not of the normal world". Witness Statement: Witnessed whilst driving home one night at about midnight, in the Pendeford area of wolverhampton , "it was a bright night and there where street lights - doing a journey I have done hundreds of times. A strange creature on all fours ran in front of my car. It was like it happened in slow motion the creature resembled the werewolf out of Harry Potter. Witness Account 7/12/2015 :  I have been hiking since 2004 mostly alone and all over Ireland. In December 2015 I was in a very remote and isolated area of the Sperrins. I had walked to three hill tops surrounded by dense forest and was heading back up a hill towards a tree line to my car when I seen something very tall and large moving faster behin d me one km away. It was walking heading down the hill towards me on a route I had just taken. I am not easily spooked but I did not hang about as I am of the opinion if it wanted to, it could have caught up with me easy. I have pondered this for a while now but I have not a clue what it was to this day, as I see people on the hills and mountains at various distances. But this was taller than a 6ft person at the distance I seen it. Eight feet plus is my guess. As I didn't have a gun only hiking poles I was not about to wait and find out. Follow the Dog trail at Cannock Chase in the Midlands, is a red graded 7 mile intermediate mountain bike aimed at competent mountain bikers. We were and after riding the first section at about 20:40 we stopped before going across the bridge, which identically was bloody slippy. We were only still for about two minutes and we heard somebody shout out. It wasn't a word or anything just Ahhhh. I shouted back but no answer, 30 seconds or so later there was another Ahhhh. Again I shouted back. We were beginning to wonder if it was somebody who was hurt, but why didn't they answer? Or was it somebody who was playing silly buggers or a group of kids wanting to nick our bikes? It only sounded like one voice and we couldn't see any lights in the trees. Witness account:  I was over Cannock chase with a girlfriend about 25 years ago on a warm summers night when she noticed something in the tree line, when I looked, it looked like a large man in a fur coat standing in the trees watching us, when I turned on the car lights it ran deeper in to the trees. Witness Statement: We went to research a area out that we had noticed had alot of edibles and game in the area It was dusk and at one point I felt bieng watched so I took a picture after studing picture later I discovered a face in the tree so I went back and forth to the same location taking photos day night dusk on so many occasions and I couldn't reproduce it and I couldn't debunk it. My conclusion was just behind the tree was a brambles that were dense I know it was behind these and poked it's head over the top watching us and that's how I got the photo . Slaley Woods bluff charge July 2015 During a research night at Slaley, we arrived and started to research  at dusk, we were there around an hour with nothing really to report so started to walk back in the direction we had come from, at which point  we heard a noise and I shone a torch in that direction, nothing for a second then all hell broke loose, we had clearly disturbed something with the lights beem and whatever it was started to crash through the dense trees. Cantern brook Woods Shropshire Grey Hairy Thing 1980’s I was contacted today from a witness from the Cantern Brook area of Shropshire, who lived in the area as small child, he explained as children “we would all play in the woods close to home and on a number of occasions my friends (atleast 5) were frightened away while cutting and collecting wood to build dens, they each described the same “creature” and in the witnesses own words”  “ a huge grey figure appeared and chased them screaming to the edge of the woods and stood watching them from the edge of the trees”  They are very old woods with the reamains of a saxon mill and large Oak trees, the stream is some 20m drop down.
