 Witness Account: My dog is a very large American Akita. She is big and pretty strong as they were trained fighting dogs. However, she is very lazy. She spends most of the day laying down not doing anything and I had NEVER heard her growl at anybody, let alone bark. When I actually walked down into the park as usual I let her on the long lead and I walk around a bit where I usually stand next to the climbing frame as she walks and sniffs around. It was a very dark night. The moon was hidden by clouds and I couldn't see many stars. Other than the allotments on the side where the path leading into the park is, all other sides of the park are covered by woods and trees. The park is roughly circular and about 20x20 meters. witness statement:  A few miles from where I live is a Country Park. It is a lovely place with a wide range of different trees, plants and wildlife. People often picnic there, take children to play in the woodland playgrounds or simply to explore. It has even been nicknamed "Little Switzerland" by locals because of its clay cliffs, which are dotted around the place. These cliffs mean that the park is on a multitude of different levels, some are accessible via slopes and steps, but some are not. It is on one of these inaccessible cliff tops where we were witness to something we could not explain. witness statement, , , , , ,  I drive up hague lane and cortworth lane at all times of the day and night on a regular basis and have never seen anything out of the ordinary apart from once. Me and a friend were driving up cortworth lane (just passed the woodhouse entrance where the wall is always collapsed due to car crashes) when i suddenly saw a black figure jump through the gap in the wall and into the grounds. I only saw it for a split second and it was extremely quick. I didnt say anything for a minute until my friend asked if i had seen something jump through the wall. This made me feel very uneasy knowing that we had both seen it. witness report:    W e was walking through kingwell woods in Barnsley a couple of weeks back, it wasnt too late, but we heard a rustling noise near an old wrecked castle, we didnt think anything of it at first but it got louder so we started running but then we heard footsteps behind us as if someone was following us but we darent look behind us, then rhonda turned round and saw a big black outline near by the castle, we panicked and started running even faster when Becci fell down a big hole which wasnt there at first!! if you think this is rubbish then go and find out for yourself!!! witness report:  i was about 9-10 years old when we was in what we called the ivy den at hackenthorpe sheffield i was sat on a tree swing over a stream when suddenly my friends and brother ran across the stream up the bank without a word to me sat hanging when i looked down the stream i saw a 6-7 foot dark figure with the brightist red eyes running up the side of the stream about 20 feet then jumped across the stream with ease(which was to wide for anything normal to jump) heading staight towards me, i dropped of the swing and legged it across the stream then i fell trying to get up the banking, i turned to see where it was and it was just stood at the other side of stream staring straight at me when my friend heard me yelling for help he came and got me. during the 1-2 minutes this was happening it never made a sound no thumping of running feet or when it jumped and landed, this was my second sighting of this thing and i have seen a dark figure quite a few times since at work and ...

One story related to the author of 'The Big Grey Man of Ben MacDhui', a man called Richard Frere. He told of a friend of his who decided to spend a night camping on the top of the mountain in 1940. In his tent near the cairn he began to suffer a feeling of morbidity and a sense of unreality but finally fell asleep. He woke up with moonlight shining through a gap into his tent and suddenly realized that he could see something brownish between himself and the moon. Horrified, he froze, and waited for the thing to move away. When it did, he looked out into the brilliant moonlight and saw a large brown creature 'swaggering' away down the mountain side. He said the creature had 'an air of insolent strength' about it. Incredibly, he estimated the height of the thing to be twenty feet, and described it as having an erect posture, broad shoulders and a tapering waist.

 1940, while spending a summer’s night beneath a huge block of stone on Ben MacDhui’s slope known as the Shelter Stone, Scottish author R. Macdonald Robertson and a friend were awakened by the growls of Robertson’s bull terrier, and clearly heard the sound of crunching steps approaching them along the gravel path leading to the Stone, until, abruptly, they faded away again, and the dog then relaxed.  I was camping on the southern end of Loch Awe a few years ago, we had been forced there by the wind, rain and bad weather, campsites were scarce and we were exhausted to the point where i was worried about my girlfriend, she was cold, slurring her speech etc...After a lot of looking around we settled for a small clearing in amongst some tree's a few meters from the shore. Carol Jardine's experience:  Staff Nurse Carol Jardine relates an experience of when she was walking in woods in Dumfriesshire a few years ago.She, her husband and brother were on a trip to Kippford Holiday Park near Dalbeattie when they went out for a walk in the local forest. She stated that quite soon after entering the woods she started to become unnerved and paranoid and felt a sense of danger. "It was like one of those horror films where people get picked off by people living in the woods. I was imagining getting taken out one by one and kept thinking there could be people in here following us waiting to get us. My brother kept wandering off and I kept telling both of them to stay close, I was really scared." She stated that she even started to plan how to fight someone off if they were attacked. She says it got worse the further in they went and she wanted to go back, which they did. She couldn't give me an exact date but said it happened within the last 3 year...

Even hundred’s of year’s ago Dundonald Hill was said to be the home of a ‘creature’ and not many dared venture out onto the hill alone or without good reason. The dogs of Dundonald Castle were said to become very restless, agitated and excited at times while looking out towards the hill, barking and yelping, never under any circumstances would they wander up it, or so I’m told. People have reported a strange creature or haunting, call it what you will, on the hill right up to the present time. Frightened folk have told of “shadows that haunt the tree’s”. At the end of August, a set of footprints were discovered on the edge of a large 250 acre woodland named Bourton Woods, in the heart of the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire, Great Britain. The footprints have baffled those who found them. In size they are not giant, a little bit larger than a wellington boot. This would make them around nine inches long, judging by the one photograph that has been revealed. Size does not matter to us, as this could easily be a juvenile. It could also be an adult, if our theory of the British 'Bigfoot' being surviving relic hominid is correct. So in 2005, when I was 13 and in my third year of my secondary school, I took part in an outdoor team-building scheme called the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. For anyone outside of the British Isles, it's when you go on an "expedition" hill-walking and mountaineering in groups of about 6 for two nights and three days. It's normally organized by schools and churches, and also involves charity work and skill-building exercises during the year. It was in 1991 that one terrified family believed they had a close encounter with a British Bigfoot, near the Ladybower Reservoir in Derbyshire, and it was something they would never forget. Polton Mill Wolfman Sighting - The following story comes from a researcher friend. I first heard this same account 15 years ago and was told it on good authority from another researcher who interviewed one of the witnesses directly. Three guys, painter and decorator guys, were driving up to storage blocks in Polton Mill to resupply, and said they saw a 7 or 8 foot upright wolfbeing.....on the roof, it jumped down to in front of them their boss rapidly reversed them and they drove off. They never returned to those warehouses, which meant the cost of all those supplies they decided to take on the chin, losing masses of replacement materials......and that foreman who had driven them there spent at least three months in hospital through the nervous breakdown it gave them. The witness was taking out the dustbins when he was unsettled by a weird sound he could only describe as low pitched, very deep, like a distant rumble. The strange noise seemed to be coming from the pitch black woods at the end of his garden. As the witness walked down his garden, to the wood, only separated by a fence, he thought he could see two glinting circular objects that seemed to be a dull yellow in colour. Rather unnerved by the objects, which he likened to cat’s eyes, the man switched on the security light which seemed to make the two glinting objects glow brighter and the rumbling sound deepen. As soon as the witness reached the very bottom of his garden, the sound almost became unbearable. However, he managed to get a closer look at the two glinting ‘eyes’ which he believed were on the sides of a head of some kind of hairy, dark form. The man fled into his home.

sighting report :  a woman, who only wants to be known as Mrs B. had a terrifying encounter, a sighting which simply proved that Medway’s sparse woodlands were being stalked by something very weird and unnatural. What Mrs B. saw, and never spoke of until she confided in me in 2006, was very much a Kentish Bigfoot, something quite unique. witness sighting report:   I encountered a werewolf (lack of better description) in England in 1970, I was 20 yrs old when I was stationed at RAF Alconbury. I was in a secure weapons storage area when i encountered it. It seemed shocked and surprized to been caught off guard and I froze in total fright.I was armed with a .38 and never once considered using it. There was no aggression on its part. I could not comprehend what I was seeing.It is not human. It has a flat snout and large eyes.It's height is approx 5 ft and weight approx.200 lbs.It is very muscular and thin. It wore no clothing and was only moderately hairy. It ran away on its hind legs and scurried over a chain link fence and ran deep into the dense wooded area adjacent to the base. I was extremely frightened but the fear developed into a total commitment of trying to contact it again..I was obsessed with it. The other night two of my friends were driving home over the Horseshoe Pass towards Ruthin 1 mile past the Ponderosa cafe and they stopped to tend to an owl in the road which was still alive, they put it to the side of the road and continued on, then as they were accelerating away, what they described to me as a "bear with long forearms and walking on all 4s" came out of the hedge on the right hand side of the road. They said it was as tall as me if it stood up on its hind legs. I'm not convinced with sightings like this but they were absolutely adamant it was a bear. They went around the area asking people if they had strange pets which had got loose somehow. I thought they might have just seen a cow or a black sheep but they said it was at least 6 foot tall, both of them saw it, and I was wondering if there have been any other sightings of such a creature around these areas, in specific I would like to know if any farmers have had large amounts of livestock go missing. ...
